My name is Mary Sheider and I am a photographer and an educator. I have two
passions and take both seriously. I got started in both very young. I always knew I wanted to teach, I was the one who would
always help the younger kids, to the point where I was "little momma" to my brother and Ms. Mary to the kids in
my church where I spent many days a week teaching small groups, music, and doing the yearly plays.
It was in high school that I found my passion for photography went beyond the mild interest. My mother gave me her old 35mm
Minolta and I took off. My mentor and Photography teacher Mr. Wetzl coached me and encouraged me to really love the art to
the point that I made it my undergraduate degree.
I received my BS in
Photography last year from Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA. It was here that I studied under some of the best photographers
and had the greatest opportunities, like living and photographing in Europe and traveling to Utah to photograph some of the
best of what the US has to offer, not to mention all that living in Philadelphia had to offer.
As a Sophmore, I realized that Education was calling me again, so I enrolled in a BS/MS program and completed my Masters in
Elementary Education with an add-on in Teaching English as a Second Language. Since then I have volunteered, completed my
student teaching, tutored, and substituted at schools in Philadelphia and South Carolina.
This
year I married my dear husband and remember how it feels to worry about all the particulars, especially on a tight budget.
I organized everything, made my own invitations, candles, found all the vendors, and set up my reception (with some friends
and family of course :}). All these things I have found to have an interest in and would like to help others if they need
it.
My company is based on the belief that my customers' needs are of
the utmost importance. I am completely committed to meeting those needs.
I
would welcome the opportunity to earn your trust and deliver you the best service in the industry.
